When Nody was rescued from the illegal pet trade, he was taken to the nursery at Nyaru Menteng where he had round the clock care by a team of babysitters.
Recently, Nody has outgrown the nursery so he was allowed to join the bigger orangutans in Forest School. Here he is learning many new skills from his older, more experienced classmates. It’s been a testing time for Nody though. At first he refused to join in with the others playing in the trees, and clung to his babysitter.
Over time Nody is overcoming his initial difficulties and is now making some orangutan friends.
