Topan
Topan was eight months old when she arrived at our Nyaru Menteng sanctuary. Local villagers had found her weak and alone by a riverbank. The BOS medical team was extremely concerned about Topan’s health, weighing only 1.5 kilograms and suffering severe dehydration and malnutrition. Topan spent the first days in intensive care, but thanks to her strong will to survive, her condition improved. Today she is a stellar climber and makes great progress in forest school.
Topan is one of the stars on the documentary series ‘Orangutan Jungle School‘ available on Stan.
