Our Vision
Our vision is a world where orangutans are free from the threat of extinction and can live in the wild, unharmed by humans.
back to their home.
our two sanctuaries.

Adopt an orphaned orangutan
Orangutans are on the brink of extinction. Help provide the care and rehabilitation
they need to return to the wild.
The Problem
There are numerous threats to the viability of the remaining wild orangutan population in Indonesia and Malaysia. The primary threat is the loss of habitat with up to 80% of suitable forest in Indonesia and Malaysia having been lost in the past 20 years. Other threats, which often go hand-in-hand with the destruction of the rainforest, are the illegal pet trade and poaching.

In line with this year's motto for International Day For Biological Diversity—"Harmony with Nature and Sustainable Development"—let's reaffirm our commitment to protecting and conserving the rich diversity of life on Earth.
As a keystone species, #orangutans are integral to the health of the tropical forest #ecosystems they inhabit. They play a crucial role in seed dispersal by consuming a wide variety of fruits, managing to ingest seeds larger than those taken by most other frugivores, and travelling long distances while depositing these seeds.
By protecting orangutans in their natural #habitats, we safeguard countless other species of plants and animals, ensuring a #sustainable future for generations to come.

#OrangutanJungleSchool fans surely remember the day when our beloved Big Boy Beni broke his femur.
It was a heart-stopping moment for all of us, but fortunately, our veterinary team responded in a minute and rushed Beni to the nearby clinic.
Thanks to the crucial care provided at our clinic, Beni fully recovered. He is now just one step away from returning to his wild forest home—a second chance he would not have had without immediate medical attention.
Accidents like these are rare but real, highlighting the essential need for an on-site clinic.
‼️THAT'S WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP‼️
Due to the relocation of our Nyaru Menteng Centre to a new site, we urgently must build a new hospital clinic and raise $200,000 by June 30.
